Football Trials in Europe

You register, and we review you before any individual football trial in Europe is arranged. We look at your profile and videos, where you have played, your eligibility, and passport and visa checks, and if you meet the criteria, David has a phone call with you and your parents to agree the right professional club.

We have arranged individual trials in Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands, where Riky Hisamatsu went on to sign for Almere City FC. We can’t arrange a trial just because it is requested, so this step really matters.

The 2-week football trial in Spain is an individual trial with Real Valladolid CF (C team), training with the club’s coaches at the training ground beside the Zorrilla stadium. You can expect about 5 sessions a week plus gym work, in a real professional club environment, and places go through the same review and call with David as every other trial.

The football trial in Spain includes your accommodation, meals, kit, medical support, local transport and a written report:

• A city-centre player residence with 24/7 welfare staff (rooms shared by 2–3 players)
• 3 meals a day
• Official kit
• Club medical and physio support
• A local transport card
• A written physical and tactical report

We meet you at Valladolid station once your travel is confirmed.

Individual football trials in Europe, including the 2-week trial in Spain, do not have a published price. We first review your profile and videos, past clubs, eligibility, and passport and visa checks. If you meet the criteria, David has a phone call with you and your parents, and we then go through the costs with your family before anything is confirmed.

No, non-EU players are welcome on football trials in Spain, and the process is usually more straightforward than in England. Signing rules depend on age and nationality, so we talk you through your situation after you register.

Yes, for most players it is easier to sign in Spain than in England after 18. In England, signing after 18 is very difficult without a European passport, and it can still be difficult with one. In Spain, a player with a European passport can sign after 18 without the same barriers, and without one the process is still relatively easier than in England. The UK’s big advantage is its training facilities.

We send an invitation letter from the football side once we have received the deposit, never before. This protects the process, because we cannot help a player enter a country in our name before everything is confirmed. Please check your own country’s entry rules too, and see our European football trials page for the other questions families ask.

No, we can’t promise a contract, a club or a scholarship, and we never will, because professional clubs make their own decisions. What we do promise is a real professional club environment and honest feedback on your level.
