Left-Back

Cameron Reid

Cameron Reid is a Northern Irish left-back from Newtownards. He came through Glentoran FC and Linfield FC, where he helped win the Harry Cavan Youth Cup, and has represented Northern Ireland at youth level. He completed a 10-day match-day event with Premier Football UK and played against academy opposition including Manchester City FC, Leeds United FC, Lincoln City FC and Burnley FC. After the event, Premier Football UK helped with connections that led to further opportunities at Sheffield Wednesday FC and Lincoln City FC. He performed to a very high standard. At Sheffield Wednesday FC his physical numbers — distance covered and speed — were exceptional. He was later scouted by Charlton Athletic FC, went through the club’s recruitment process, and signed a two-year scholarship as a first-year scholar for the 2026/27 season. Charlton Athletic FC described a strong physical presence, excellent athleticism, quality final ball, and the ability to influence both ends of the pitch. Premier Football UK provided the shop window. Cameron delivered.
